It's over

I'm headed out of my office for the last time as a full-timer at BYU. I'm going to be on call for the next month or two while they find my replacement, but today really is the end of something big for me.

I came in this morning and found my office filled with balloons. The students spent yesterday blowing them up and then filled my office after I went home last night. I finished up a few tasks earlier today and then had to go to the administration building for some exit stuff. On my way over there I got a little teary eyed so I decided to walk around campus and get a grip on my emotions. BYU is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. I honestly love it here and I'm going to miss getting to be on this campus every day.

I just spent the afternoon at my going away party. I got emotional there too. I'm going to miss all of the great people that I work with. The thought of closing my office door tonight is making me emotional again, but I know that with all of these great things that I'm leaving behind, I'm going toward something even better and that's my boys. My sad feelings today don't change the fact that I want to be their full-time mom and I think I'm finally ready to do that.

I have no words for that! I'm speechless!!... except to say:

I'm so sorry for this very real loss! Allow yourself to feel the emotion, Ju. Don't bury it!

I'm SOOO proud of you! Your boys are blessed to have one amazing mother and father, and to know that they'll have you with them always... WOW! Again, I'm so proud of you. We love you all so much!!!

Congratulations, and, er... Condolences...

Also, YOU, my dear are one amazing photographer! I see a full time SAHM hobby in your future...

Heh . . . heh . . . ummmmmm . . . thanks for the compliment, except I should confess that the only one of those pictures that I took was the one of Adam and Noah. The others all were from BYU. I could maybe get in trouble for "borrowing them". Shhhhh. Don't tell.

And thanks for the vote of confidence. Now that it's done, I guess only time will tell if I made the right decision.

Nice! You'd think I would have caught on what with the fall leaves and all... DUH! Still, I maintain you're a good photographer. And a thief apparently. Doesn't hurt that you have cute boys to catch in pictures!

You made the right decision... I promise!

I remember leaving my classroom after I cleaned it out, getting a little teary-eyed myself. I'm sure your boys will love you being home!
