Now where did I put that?

I feel like I am on the brink of a nervous breakdown. For the past two days I have been scouring my house for three items that are crucial to the success of Christmas morning for my boys. I had them all together in a plastic bag just a week ago. I simply moved them from a shelf in one room to a shelf in another room, or so I thought. The dumb thing is, I wasn't even trying to hide them. I just needed to move them out of my way but when I went to retrieve them yesterday to put them with all of the other Christmas gifts, they seem to have vanished. Naturally I immediately began to question where I really put them. I have searched high and low in every corner of my house that I can think of and nada. It really is going to drive me nuts if they don't turn up. There is no logical explanation for where that bag could have gone.

On the bright side, my searching did lead to the discovery of two pieces of apple pie and a piece of pumpkin dessert from our ward Christmas dinner last week (in a covered pot on a shelf in the garage). Good thing it's been cold out there. Imagine if I hadn't found them until July. I also found an almost full bag of Reese's peanut butter cups from Halloween in one of the storage closets. If I don't find the missing items soon, I guess I can drown my sorrows in some dessert and a bag of candy.

Maybe you should have mentioned the fact that one item has been replaced via Barnes & Noble and that one of the other ones will be replaced by none other than MOI!!!! Here I am to save the day... : )

I think I deserve at least part of the bag of Reese's. Just a thought.
