Noah quotes

Both of these happened today.

This morning I walked in the house just as Adam and Noah were getting ready to start a movie. Noah looked up at me with his giant smile and the following exchange occurred:

Noah: Mom! We are going to watch Butt-man!
Me: Uhhhh . . . you're going to watch what?
Noah: Butt-man!
Adam: He means Batman.
Noah: Yeah . . . Batman!
Me: Ohhhhhhh

And then this afternoon I noticed that Noah had disappeared into the bathroom. Since he doesn't typically go in there without being compelled to do so by me or his father, I wondered what he was doing. I opened the door and caught him in the act . . . sitting on the toilet going potty. Yeaaaa!!!! He looked up, again with his huge smile, and this is what was said:

Me: Noah! you're going potty!
Noah: Uh-huh. On the toilet. Not in my pants and my underwear.
Me: Good job!
Noah: You're welcome.
I gave him some knuckles and then, he smiled and said
Noah: I'm so proud of you for not being mad.

Well ... he should be proud of you for not being mad since technically it's one of your New Year's resolutions.

Actually, my resolution was not to yell so much. I was very careful with how I worded that one because I knew that I wouldn't be able to completely change my personality and my way of life with one resolution. The trick is to not yell, even though I may be angry. It's harder than you might think.

Welcome Sonja! I saw a link from your site the other day and was confused for a moment because I didn't recognize you in the picture. I'll be checking you out once in awhile too, so be careful what you put out there. I'm always looking for ways to make fun of other people.
